The article I chose is called "Are Wolves The Proghorn's Best Friend?" (pronghorns are similar to african gazelles. This article is about the Wildlife Conservation Society re-entering the wolves to the Yellowstone National Park. This group of people and the park rangers did this for many reasons. Since there were many coyotes, many of the pronghorns were being eaten. Since one of the coyote's main diets include pronghorns, pronghorn's number were decreasing severely. In the past, there were wolves in this national park so the animals' populatities were dropping and increasing at a normal rate. Everything was "normal." Many years later, people asked for the park rangers to take out the wolves because others claimed that they were frightened by wolves. Because of this, pronghorns are now dying faster due to the the dramatic increase of the coyotes. The wolves basically control the population of the coyotes and pronghorns. This reintroduction happened in 1995.
